The young Peru-based agricosmetics company Templarea is ready to appear with its made-in-Imbria products online as well in order to publicize the exceptional nature of the area’s raw materials in a completely innovative way.
Founded by two very young Perugian students from the University of Perugia’s Faculty of Agriculture, Templarea entered the Italian market three years ago, during the pandemic period, with its first 100% natural cosmetic line, the Zafferano line, born precisely out of Edoardo Tardioli and Mattia Vicarelli’s desire to use one of the Perugian territory’s excellences for a purpose other than gastronomic and culinary.

Saffron Line – Since the time of the Knights Templar in fact (hence also the name of the brand) saffron was considered “vegetable gold of the region,” both for its color and for its organoleptic properties (anti-inflammatory, soothing, antioxidant), which Edoardo and Mattia decided to study and deepen in order to create natural cosmetic products that are directly linked to their production territory, from which they draw energy and essence, and that they want to be restorative of body and spirit.
The nutrients and aromatic substances of saffron, grown in dedicated land around Perugia, have thus been used to create and fine-tune an entire line of products, the Saffron Line precisely, which is now marketed to beauty salons, inside fairs, markets, stores and now online at templarea.it.
In their research and experimentation, Edoardo and Mattia have uniquely explored not only the methodological aspect of cultivation-selecting the best soils and improving their preparation, quality and harvesting-but also the cultural knowledge of this ancient spice that possesses all the spirituality of its land and is meant to be a symbol of a wellness ethic devoted to the exploration of a meditated and ennobled beauty in harmony with nature.
In the production of the Saffron Line, then, the key word is “vintage,” meaning complete respect for nature’s life cycle for a vintage product that is based on the single annual harvest. In fact, Templarea has chosen to use for its agricosmetic production only and exclusively its own crops destined for a single vintage batch, thus unique and unrepeatable.
This is true not only for the Saffron line, but also for the two most recent lines created by Templarea: the Honey Line, for which the results of the 2022 honey extraction are used, and the Naturally Line, which is based instead on the 2022 oil campaign.

Among the top products of the Saffron Line are the face and body moisturizing cream made with saffron extract (with antioxidant, purifying, and protective properties) then enriched with organic sunflower oil and vitamin E (Eur. 29); the revitalizing face and body cream that, with its vegetable oils, helps to rebuild the skin’s lipid film (Eur. 32); the anti-aging balm made with organic olive oil and saffron extract with antioxidant and protective functions (Eur.54); the revitalizing balm with olive oil, saffron extract and mint essential oil, which naturally tones the skin (Eur. 34).

Each of Templarea’s signature lines is distinguished not only by its commitment to respecting the land and the environment, but also by its decision to focus only on sustainable crops. Therefore, the brand decided to minimize packaging by using only recycled and recyclable materials.
With a view to development oriented toward all-round sustainability, therefore, Templarea attaches great importance to the preservation of natural and environmental heritage, as well as to the dignity of human labor and the preservation of the agricultural, artisanal and artistic culture of which all those who work with Templarea on a daily basis are custodians. Hence, the willingness to always work synergistically and in mutual respect with anyone who constitutes a piece of this project for constant growth on a personal and corporate level.
